KARL HENRIK FREDERIKSEN

Karl Henrik Frederiksen was born Jan. 8, 1930, to Johan and Martha (Pedersen) Frederiksen in Horton, Wyoming. Karl joined his loving wife of 71 years in Heaven on April 9, 2024, with his family by his side.
Karl’s education was cut short after the eighth grade because he was needed at home to help provide for his family and run the farm.
On June 1, 1952, Karl married the most beautiful girl in Crooke County, Iris (Joan) Dudrey, at the Methodist church in Sundance, Wyoming. They were the first couple to be married in that church.
Karl worked construction in Wyoming, ranched in Montana, and came back to Wyoming to go to work for Bob’s Production Services until his retirement in 1995. Karl was known for planting a big, beautiful garden each year in his greenhouse.
Karl was preceded in death eight months and three days prior by his wife of 71 years, Joan, and their son Kendall. He is also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eda Gose, Ellen (Dorman) Ewing, Anna (Wallace) Canfield, and Irene (Sam) Snell; brother, Kenneth (Dorthea); brother-in-law, Bob Cundy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean (Irma) Hutchins; father-in-law, Richard Dudrey; step father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil (Murel) Maddox; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Karl is survived by sons, Richard (Becky), and Vernon; daughter, Karla (Larry) Waters; and bonus son, Keith Boschee. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don Gose; sister-in-law, Verna Cundy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family in Denmark.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming. A light breakfast reception and gathering will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, April 19, until the the start of his service beginning at 10 a.m. at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at United Methodist Church in Sundance on Saturday, April 20, at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Green Mountain Cemetery. After the graveside service, a light luncheon will be held at United Methodist Church.
