Dannie Lee Wieburg

Dannie Lee Wieburg was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Omer and Eula Wieburg. He was one of five children and grew up in a lumber camp on Snowy Range.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war, where he did two tours. Dannie attended the University of Wyoming where he obtained two degrees. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and he loved antiques, many of which he dug up himself from all over Wyoming. Dannie was a cowboy through and through.

Dannie is survived by his wife, Karon Wieburg, whom he married in January 1990; children, Nicholas (Jennifer) Wieburg and their children Harmony and Anna, Amanda (John) McDaniel and their children, Josh, Jolee, Chloe, Shaunae, Jordan, Jayden and Jacob, Kattie (Carlos) DeLarosa and their children, Petra, Carlos, Fabian, Daniel, and Emanuel, Stephen (Nichole) Smith and their children Lily
and Oliver. In all, six children, 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Dannie passed away Dec. 17, 2024, surrounded by his wife and children. A Celebration of Life will be held on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Newcastle VFW, Post No. 2516.

In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent to Pinnacle Bank in Newcastle, Wyoming, for the Wieburg family.
