Anita “Skeeter” Helen Wolfe passed away peacefully at age 71 on Feb. 7, 2025, in Newcastle, Wyoming.

Anita was born Oct. 26, 1953, in Newcastle to Ray E. and Helen G. Wolfe. Anita was the middle child with two
siblings, Gary Wolfe and Kim (Wolfe,
Fox) Stolz.

Anita moved with her family to Montana when she was 13. She married John Anthony Hipp on May 19, 1973. Anita and John divorced Oct. 16, 1974, and with the union they had one daughter, Katina.

Anita worked several jobs in her lifetime, she lastly was self-employed as owner of Skeeter’s Enterprises, providing an array of services that included care giving, housekeeping, yard maintenance and landscaping.

Anita was an avid gardener, growing flowers, decorative plants as well as vegetables, fruits and berries. Anita rescued numerous animals during her lifetime, including horses, dogs and cats. Anita’s greatest gifts and joy were her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Anita moved back to Newcastle in 2013 to be near her daughter and grandchildren.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Katina (Jerry) Varner; grandson, Christopher (Trisha) Simon; granddaughter, Makayla (Nathan) Streeter; great-grandchildren, Noah and Rowan Simon, Kaydance, Adysun, Taegan and Aceik Streeter; brother, Gary (Pam) Wolfe; sister, Kim (Kevin) Stolz; and a corgi named Buddy.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Ray Wolfe, and numerous beloved pets.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 3, at the Four Corners Country Church near Newcastle, at 2 p.m. Following the service, the family will host a reception at the Newcastle Country Club.
