Dana Gordon
I have held a position on the Weston County School Board for four years. Both my husband and I have graduated from Newcastle High School, as have all three of our children. I grew up here in Newcastle, work, live here, and I love our community.
It is my belief that we should all contribute to our community in any way that we can. I hope that this is a way I can give back to mine. I believe that those that teach, serve on the board, and work in our schools really want what is best for our children. I have seen so many times when people in our schools go the extra mile and more for a child.
What I hope is accomplished is that all our children receive what they need to succeed in their life. Our schools and our teachers are being asked to do more with less funding. The Weston County School Board has been faced with many difficult decisions over the last four years. I would like to continue to serve on the board to support our children, teachers and staff.
