Thanks for the memories
To the Editor,  
I am writing this letter to beat the rumors that are about to start. I just want to make it clear that I have decided after 19 ½ years with the Newcastle Police Department to retire.
I would like to thank all of the community members who have stepped forward and supported me the last eight years as the chief. I cannot express in words how much that support has meant.
