Prayin for Nelsie
Dear Editor,
I was glad to see that Nelsie Smith sent some comments and corrections about the story of his sister’s disappearance. My family lived on Helen Smith’s place in 1958-59 and when we heard the story about Connie, it seemed that it was long ago. Now I realize that it would have only been about six years before we lived there. Dad hired on as ranch hand and we lived in the home that had been the family home when Connie went away to camp. Her room upstairs was kept locked and nothing disturbed from the way Connie had left it. I was about 13 and remember having a huge crush on Nelsie when he would stop over on weekends home from college. Nelsie and his mother, Helen, as well as “Old Nels” and Marie Smith, were very kind people.  I pray that there will be an answer for Nelsie.
