Memorial Day goes without issue, keep it up!

While many places across the country remain in limbo after months of lockdown, causing several comunities to cancel their Memorial Day celebrations, we want to commend those volunteers and participants who came together in Weston County to recognize those who have served.
Thanks to a number of participants with the VFW, American Legion, and local auxiliary, as well as several volunteers, Weston County was able to host one of their most successful Memorial Day celebrations.
From the flags on the graves, to the “Star-Spangled Banner,” sung by local student Josie Smith, the day was full of rememberance and support for those who made the sacrifice while fighting for our freedom (see photos on Page 8).
We also want to commend and recognize everyone involved for doing their best to follow to social distancing guidelines in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Events like the one on Memorial Day at Greenwood Cemetery are glowing examples of what can be done when the people are allowed to take responsibility for themselves in public situations.
Weston County as a whole is one of a kind in Wyoming and the News Letter Journal wants to thank those who have done their part in keeping this community safe.
If we continue to work together as a group we can continue to thrive and move forward through the global pandemic and come out even stronger in the end.
Keep it up Weston County! We are in it together.
