Drawing the line — WYDOT announces county striping projects

Next week the Wyoming Department of Transportation will be completing several epoxy striping projects in northeast Wyoming, including two portions of U.S. Highway 16 in Weston County.
According to a release from WYDOT, both U.S. Highway 16 between mile markers 219.34 and 220.93 in Upton and the U.S. Highway 16 spur in Osage will receive new epoxy striping.
“Epoxy striping is a durable line marking method that uses epoxy resin paint, typically applied in high-traffic areas,” the release says. “In preparation for the epoxy, the roadway is cleaned, and the lines are etched into the roadway, followed by the epoxy paint.”
The work will be completed by the department and its contractor, S&L Industrial.
Work is scheduled to be completed between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The release notes that “project scheduling is dependent on weather conditions and material and equipment availability.”
Drivers traveling in these areas should “be aware of lane closures and reduced speeds within the work zone.”
Other projects are in Sundance, Wright and Sheridan.
