Man bound over to District Court for attempted second-degree murder
GILLETTE (WNE) – A Gillette man has been bound over to District Court for attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing his wife earlier this month.
Circuit Judge Paul Phillips determined there was sufficient evidence against Bosh and bound him over at a preliminary hearing Tuesday. Gillette Police Detective Ryan Mussell spoke to the evidence against Bosh, describing the extent of Bosh’s wife’s injuries and other physical evidence of the stabbing.
Bosh’s defense attorney argued for the charges to be dropped, saying the state had not provided conclusive proof Bosh had been trying to kill his wife when he stabbed her.
Phillips said that the state had enough evidence in both cases to proceed with a trial. Bosh will next appear in court at his arraignment in District Court, where he’ll enter a plea.
Bosh was arrested earlier this month after his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was found by police at the apartment where the stabbing occurred in the 900 block of West Eighth Street.
Bosh’s grandmother called police after law enforcement surrounded the apartment to confirm Bosh was in the home, and Bosh was arrested without incident.
Bosh stabbed his wife the day before the arrest after arguing with her about fidelity issues. The two were arguing in the living room of the apartment when Bosh took a serrated, 6-inch steak knife from the kitchen, stabbing her in six different areas.
Garrett, who was at the apartment when the stabbing occurred, said in an affidavit that she called police to report the stabbing, and Bosh’s wife was rushed to the hospital.
Bosh had previously pleaded guilty to strangling the 30-year-old at Keyhole State Park in 2019 and was arrested this spring for violating a protection order against her, after a Wyoming Game and Fish warden spotted them fishing together in Sheridan County.
