Many preachers talk about what we can do for God, and that is good. It’s essential to live a life that honors Him and reflects His love to others. But when it comes to witnessing to non-believers, it’s crucial to focus on what God has done for us. This personal approach can open hearts and minds to the truth of the Gospel.

God’s love is the foundation of our faith. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." This verse captures the incredible sacrifice God made for us. He gave His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life. This act of love is something we could never earn or achieve on our own.

Think about it: we were lost, separated from God by our sins. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Even when we were living in rebellion, God reached out to us through Jesus. This is a powerful testament to His unconditional love and grace.

When sharing the Gospel with non-believers, it’s important to emphasize that salvation is a gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." We cannot earn salvation through good deeds or religious rituals. It’s only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved.

Another key point to highlight is the transformation that occurs when we accept Jesus as our Savior. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come." God changes us from the inside out, giving us new desires, new purpose, and a new identity in Him. This transformation is a powerful witness to non-believers.

God also gives us His Holy Spirit to guide and empower us. Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." The Holy Spirit helps us live a life that honors God and equips us to share His love with others.

In witnessing to non-believers, we must remember to share our personal testimonies. People are often moved by hearing how God has worked in our lives. Share your story of how God has changed you, provided for you, and guided you. Your testimony can be a powerful tool to show others what God can do in their lives.

Ultimately, witnessing is about pointing people to Jesus and the incredible things He has done for us. Let’s focus on His love, grace, and the gift of salvation He offers to everyone. By doing so, we can help others see the beauty of a relationship with God and the hope that comes from knowing Him.
