Do You Have a Backup Plan?

Living a life ignoring God in itself is foolish, you are missing out on so many blessings. I have never met anyone who regrets giving their life to Christ. For those who refuse His call, what is your backup plan when you face Him on judgement day? Ignoring God's call to salvation is like pretending a storm will pass without seeking shelter. It's not just about missing out on a better life; it's about facing the weight of our choices when the final judgment day dawns.

The Bible paints a vivid picture of this reality. Romans 14:12 “So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.” There's no escaping it. So, if we've been brushing off God's call, thinking it won't matter in the end, we're in for a rude awakening.

In 2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.” It's like a spiritual balance sheet, ignoring God's call won't go unnoticed.

Then, there's that haunting story in Matthew 25 where Jesus describes the final judgment. He talks about separating people like a shepherd separates sheep from goats. Those who turned a blind eye to the needs of others find themselves in deep water, while those who extended a helping hand are welcomed with open arms.

And let's not overlook Luke 13:23-30, where Jesus responds to someone asking if only a few will be saved. He paints a sobering picture of people banging on the door too late, thinking they can stroll into Heaven despite ignoring God their whole lives. It's a stark reminder that there's no back door into eternity.

So, if you've been ignoring God's call, thinking you'll figure something out later, well, the Bible doesn't really give us a Plan B. Get things right before it's too late. If you have been ignoring God's call, hoping for a last-minute solution on judgment day, the Bible doesn't offer much solace. Instead, it serves as a wake-up call to heed God's call while there's still time—to seek shelter in His love before the storm of judgment arrives.
