NLJ: Please tell us why you want to hold this office, and what you intend to accomplish if elected. Please be specific about your goals and objectives, so our readers can measure your progress over the course of the term. Also tell us what qualifications and characteristics you possess that will help ensure that your stated goals can be achieved. (The same question was posed to all candidates for the General Election.)
Susie Overman
I enjoy my job and working with the public. Helping them register their vehicles and pay their taxes in a friendly, caring and professional atmosphere is my goal.
I have been in the Weston County Treasurer’s Office since 2000. I was first elected into the position of Weston County treasurer in 2010, and I am seeking re-election on Nov. 6, and would appreciate your support.
My staff and I are very well cross-trained, and knowledgeable of the Wyoming State Statues and the Rules and Regulations of the State of Wyoming that we must follow when doing our jobs. If we do not have an answer to a question or problem, we will diligently research and find a solution.
My long-term goal — that is in the very early thought stage — is the possibility of opening a satellite office of the Weston County Treasurer’s Office in Upton.
