Don’t have plans for a Christmas meal? Maybe it’s too hectic at this time of year to cook a full turkey dinner. Or are you looking to have some good fun and fellowship? If this is you, there will be a Christmas lunch at the Weston County Senior Center on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
The theme for this year’s dinner is “The Light of the World.” The fun will begin at 11 a.m. with games and activities for the entire family, followed by lunch at noon. The menu will be ham, turkey, dressing, baked potatoes, salad and homemade pies. Also available will be ice cream, coffee, punch and water.
Sponsored by Gateway Fellowship, which meets at the senior center, this annual event has grown over the past several years, with 175 dinners served last Christmas. The festive atmosphere is a warm, inviting place to socialize and have a great time. Door prizes will also be given out during the celebration.
So come on out, start a new tradition for this Christmas season, and the workers at the dinner wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
