Many skeptics have approached the Bible with the goal of proving it false. They believed it was filled with myths, contradictions, or historical errors. But time and time again, those who sincerely investigated its claims found something they didn’t expect—the undeniable truth of God’s Word.

Gilbert West and Lord Lyttelton – In the 1700s, these two scholars set out to disprove Christianity. West chose the resurrection, and Lyttelton examined Paul’s conversion. Their conclusion? The evidence was overwhelming. Both became Christians and wrote books defending the very faith they sought to destroy.

Simon Greenleaf – A Harvard law professor and expert in legal evidence, Greenleaf applied courtroom principles to the Gospel accounts. His investigation led him to believe in the resurrection of Jesus, concluding that the biblical witnesses were credible and truthful.

William Ramsay – A respected archaeologist, Ramsay believed the book of Acts was historically unreliable. After decades of on-site research, he found that Luke’s accounts were astonishingly accurate, confirming the reliability of Scripture. He became a believer and devoted much of his work to biblical studies.

C.S. Lewis – Perhaps the most well-known, Lewis was an atheist who thought Christianity was a fable. But after serious examination, he admitted, “Christianity is God expressing Himself through what we call ‘real things.’” His transformation led to some of the greatest Christian writings of the 20th century.

The Bible itself warns of those who will doubt: “The word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Jesus also declared, “If anyone wants to do His will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or I am speaking from Myself.” (John 7:17) The truth is there for those who seek it with an open heart.

As God declares in His Word, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) Those who truly seek the truth will not be left in the dark.

History proves that the Bible doesn’t crumble under scrutiny—it stands firm. Many who sought to tear it down instead found themselves changed by it. The question is, will you take the challenge and examine it for yourself?

If you have doubts, don’t be afraid to put them to the test. Open the Bible and read it with an honest heart. Study the historical evidence. Ask God to reveal the truth to you. As Jesus said, “Seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) The truth is not afraid of questions—because the truth will always stand.
