ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Newcastle will receive and accept bids only through QuestCDN.com via their electronic VirtuBid online bid service until 1:00 P.M., local time, 07/02/2024, and a bid opening will be held at the Newcastle Council Chambers, 10 W Warwick Street, Newcastle, WY, for materials, labor, equipment, services & complete construction of the City of Newcastle’s Duff Avenue Sewer Reconstruction, 2024 project. The Engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs ranges from $800,000 to $1,000,000.
The work consists of Installing a new sewage lift station, 174 LF of 6” sewer line, 899 LF of 8” sewer line, 56 LF of 6” force main, seven manholes, gravel surface patch and various incidental items.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud – date and time stated above. Complete digital copies of the bidding documents are available atwww.questcdn.com. Submitting Contractors will be required to register with the website to download the bidding documents by inputting QuestCDN project # (9074737) on the website’s Project search page. The City of Newcastle (Owner) reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalities if deemed in the best interest of the town. No bid may be considered unless accompanied by the required bid guarantee of 5% of the total bid amount which amount shall be forfeited if the bidder is awarded the Contract and fails to enter into a Contract with the Owners. Successful bidder will be required to provide payment and performance bonds in an amount of at least 100% of awarded contract price.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 P.M. local time, on 06/19/2024 at the Newcastle City Council Chambers, 10 W Warwick Street, Newcastle, WY.
Contractors shall be required to submit proof of at least three years of experience in municipal sanitary sewer construction including sanitary sewer lift station construction experience. The proof shall consist of at least three sewer projects completed within the last three years, along with references for each project. Any specialty subcontractors shall be required to submit proof of experience of at least three years for the specialty work to be performed. The proof shall be submitted with the bid.
