Your election prep begins
Wyoming’s Primary Election is nearly upon us, and that is probably a bit of a relief for voters who are tired of their social media feeds and mailboxes (both email and the old-fashioned kind) overflowing with information they did not ask for — and probably shouldn’t trust.
We know there are plenty of political junkies out there who have enjoyed the spectacle, but for those of you who have been worn out and confused by the campaigning, we are pleased to offer an alternative that will allow you to keep throwing out the junk mail without reading it and scrolling by the stuff on Facebook that doesn’t make
you smile.
The News Letter Journal will give you a couple of chances to hear directly from the candidates this week, beginning with our Special Election section, which will hit news racks in Weston County on Wednesday and arrive in mailboxes by the end of the week.
While you wait for your paper to arrive, we encourage you to head over to our Youtube Channel to watch the candidate forums that were hosted by the Weston County Republican Party — and you can also view our Special Election edition for free on newslj.com later this week.
We also encourage you to check out the advertisements that were placed by the candidates and their supporters in our print editions and on our website. You can also pick up a different perspective on local politics and some of the players involved by tuning into the NLJ’s Top of Main Podcast.
So stop stressing about the election and enjoy what is left of the summer! We’ve got you covered so you can be a great voter and still have a great week.
Most important, don’t forget to get out there and vote on Aug. 20 during the Primary Election. As many of you know, primary elections in Wyoming, especially Weston County, decide many of the races and we would hate for you to miss your chance to let your voice
be heard.
NLJ will also be printing a Special Election section in October for the Nov. 5 General Election, and once again will be offering a special advertising rate to candidates. Best of luck to all the candidates!
