Wyoming to Take on Early Start to Kit Mayer Classic

GOLDEN, Colo. (April 7, 2026) – Wyoming track and field will be back together for the weather changed Kit Mayer Classic hosted by Colorado School of Mines, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Due to the weather expected this weekend, the Kit Mayer Classic has become a one-day event with several events moving action to Wednesday and Thursday for the Mines Midweek & Multi.

LAST TIME OUT

Wyoming was split across the West with distance runners in California for the Stanford Invitational and in Colorado for the Jerry Quiller Classic. Senior Ryker Holtzen highlighted action at Stanford when he extended his school record in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 8:34.06. In Boulder, Wyoming added five event wins in the Shot Put (Burkett), Triple Jump (Edwards), 3,000-meter Steeplechase (Slichko), 1,500 meters (Jones) and the women’s 4x400-meter relay.
