Wyoming Swim & Dive Defeats Colorado School of Mines

GOLDEN, Colo. (1/20/25) – The University of Wyoming swimming and diving teams soared past Colorado School of Mines on Monday.

The Cowgirls outscored the Orediggers 140-60, and the Cowboys were also victorious with a score of 113-90.

The Cowgirls zoomed past their competition, having taken first-place in 10 out of the 11 events of the day, along with an additional 9 top three finishes. The Cowboys had the first-place finisher in 7 out of 11 events, as well as 11 more finishes in the top three.

On the women’s side, Ellie Fritscher, Sydney Metzler and Rachael Horne had multiple first-place performances. For the men, Griffith Orloff, Kellen Chadderdon and Gavin Smith were the multiple-event winners.

The Pokes next compete against conference foes UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada on Jan. 24-25.
