LARAMIE, Wyo. (2/3/25) – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is pleased to announce the selection of the Wyoming Swimming and Diving squads for the Scholar All-America award for the Fall 2024 semester.
The Cowgirls recorded a 3.49 team grade point average during the fall semester. The Cowboys held a team grade point average of 3.17.
To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher, qualifying them for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
In addition to the team achievements, nineteen conferences demonstrated their commitment to academic excellence by placing 100% of their active men’s or women’s teams on the Scholar All-America Team list.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on Wyoming’s impressive achievements.
“This recognition honors programs that achieve the highest standards in the classroom while representing their institution in the pool,” Barany said. “Coach Dave Denniston, their staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to success both academically and athletically, setting a standard of excellence we can all be proud of.”
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
