LARAMIE, Wyoming (5/7/25) – The NCAA released its Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores on Tuesday. Once again, the University of Wyoming earned solid marks not just this season but for consecutive seasons, as well.

The national average for Division I held steady at 984, however, Wyoming exceeded that. The average score for the Cowboys and Cowgirls stood at 992 with seven squads receiving perfect scores of 1,000.

Men’s golf, tennis, volleyball, women’s basketball, women’s cross-country, women’s golf and women’s track and field all earned a spotless score of 1,000. Five of those teams – men’s golf, tennis, volleyball, women’s basketball and women’s cross-country – have enjoyed multi-year scores of 1,000.

The APR is calculated in a two-pronged format. Scholarship student-athletes earn one point for staying on course for a degree in their chosen major and one point for being retained, or graduating, at the end of each academic term.
