Wyoming Refining Company was purchased by Par Pacific Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Houston Texas, in June, 2016. Par Pacific is a growth-oriented company that owns, manages and maintains interests in energy and infrastructure businesses. Wyoming Refining Company owns and operates a 140 mile crude oil pipeline gathering system that provides direct access to the Powder River Basin Crude, a 40 mile products pipeline that feeds into the Magellan products line en route to Rapid City. The Magellan line is a proprietary jet fuel pipeline and terminal in Rapid City that connects to Ellsworth Air Force Base which holds approximately 750 MBBLS of crude and refined product tankage.
