LARAMIE, Wyo. & BOSTON (Dec. 6, 2025) – Wyoming track and field set six Top 10 program times and posted 10 personal bests, including seniors Jacob White and Ryker Holtzen breaking the indoor 5,000-meter school record across the Power Meet and Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, Saturday.

POWER MEET

Saturday’s meet opened with the men’s weight throw. Two Cowboys, sophomore Charles LaFore and freshman Ayden Mills, threw in the event while former Cowboy Daniel Reynolds competed unattached. Lafore finished fifth with a toss of 65’ 4" (19.91 meters), a personal best. In Mills’ first collegiate outing, he placed 12th with a mark of 49’ 5" (15.06 meters). Reynolds would win the event with a facility record of 83’ 11 1/2" (25.59 meters), eight feet further than the facility record he set last season. Reynolds' throw was also the No. 4 mark in world history.

In the women’s weight throw, senior Kais Kimuli was the top Cowgirl finisher with her throw of 56’ 3 3/4" (17.16 meters), a personal best. Freshman Jade West finished right behind Kimuli in fifth with a toss of 55’ 2 3/4" (16.83 meters). Senior Kaitlyn Gallo would take seventh with her weight going a distance of 54’ 3 3/4" (16.55 meters), a personal best and first over 16 meters.

Jumping events followed the weight throw, with Pokes competing in the high, long and triple jump. In the men’s high jump, freshman Quincy Paris finished third in his first collegiate meet with a height clearance of 6’ 2” (1.88 meters). He reached that mark on his final attempt before failing to clear 6’ 3 3/4".

The women’s high jump had two Cowgirls competing with sophomores Koi Adderley and Lily Nichols. Adderley posted a personal best height of 5’ 7 3/4" (1.72 meters), No. 6 in program indoor history, for second place while Nichols took sixth with a clearance of 4’ 7 3/4" (1.42 meters).

Cowgirls swept the Top 3 places in the long jump with sophomore Taliah Morris, senior Elayna Chafee and Adderley going 1-2-3. Morris won with a jump of 20’ 0 1/2" (6.11 meters) on her final attempt. This was good for the No. 5 mark in indoor school history and is the sixth-best jump in the country on the young season. Chafee took second after posting a mark of 19’ 5 1/4" (5.92 meters) on her second attempt. For Adderley, she would also get her mark early, jumping a distance of 19’ 0 3/4" (5.81 meters) on her first and only fair attempt.

Chafee would also take on the triple jump and came out on top. Her best jump was 39’ 10 3/4" (12.16 meters), the new program indoor No. 4. All six of her attempts were over the 38-foot mark.

In the men’s long jump, senior Remar Pitter was the only Wyoming competitor. He would win the event by just a quarter of an inch at 24’ 6 1/2" (7.48 meters). His mark set in his fourth attempt would have been No. 10 in program indoor history if Pitter didn’t already hold the No. 2 mark.

Paris picked up his first collegiate victory in the triple jump when he leaped to a distance of 44’ 11 1/2" (13.70 meters) on his third attempt.

Action on the track began with the 600-yard run. For the Cowgirls, junior Isabelle Harvey finished second with a time of 1:31.43.
