Wyoming PBS releases documentaries on former US Sen. Alan Simpson

CASPER (WNE) — Wyoming PBS has compiled a collection of documentaries featuring former U.S. Sen. Alan K. Simpson and made them available on its YouTube Channel.

Simpson died early Friday morning in Cody at the age of 93.

Following Simpson’s death, the organization said in a statement: “Wyoming PBS would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Sen. Simpson. His legacy of service to Wyoming and the nation will not be forgotten.”

The Republican lawmaker’s highly decorated career included serving as a Cody representative in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1965 to 1977, Wyoming U.S. Senator from 1979 to 1997 and Senate Republican Whip from 1985 to 1995. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Joe Biden in 2022.
