Wyoming PBS announces candidate debates will be televised and livestreamed
CODY (WNE) —- The ‘Wyoming PBS’ series of debates about the 2026 Primary Election that began on Tuesday, Aug. 18, will continue Tuesday and Thursday, Aug. 11 and 13, providing voters opportunities to hear directly from candidates seeking statewide offices.
All ballot-certified candidates for the primary election have been invited to participate.
The debates, both at the Little Theater, Central Wyoming College in Riverton, will be as follows:
Tuesday, Aug. 11: 7 p.m. – secretary of state candidates
8 p.m. – superintendent of public instruction candidates
Thursday, Aug. 13: 7 p.m. – U.S. Senate candidates
8 p.m. – gubernatorial candidates
The events are free and open to the public. In addition to in-person attendance, the debates will be broadcast live on Wyoming PBS and streamed live on the Wyoming PBS YouTube channel.
Steve Peck, Wyoming PBS senior public affairs producer, will be the moderator. Panelists will include representatives from Cowboy State Daily and Wyoming Public Radio.
