CASPER (WNE) — Two men, one from Rock Springs and the other from Casper, are dead following a two-vehicle crash just south of Casper in late December.

Authorities identified the two as Martin Lloyd, 46, of Rock Springs and Kurt Zajic, 72, of Casper. Both Lloyd and Zajic died at the scene.

The crash happened at 2:40 p.m. on Dec. 20—Lloyd was driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado southbound while a 2011 Ford F150 driven by Zajic was northbound on WY 252, roughly 2 miles south of Casper.

Authorities said in a news release that the Chevy crossed the center line at mile marker 2.5 and "the two vehicles collided in an offset, head-on collision."

Neither Zajic nor Lloyd were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Speed and driver inattention are considered primary factors in the cause of the crash, authorities said.
