Weston County Natural Resource District Budget Notice 2026

WESTON COUNTY NATURAL
RESOURCE DISTRICT BUDGET NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on the proposed budget for the Weston County Natural Resource District for the 2026-2027 fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, which is being considered by the Board of Supervisors, will be held July 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the USDA Service Center Conference Room, Newcastle, Wyoming at which time any persons interested may appear and be heard respecting such budget. The Board’s regular business meeting will be held immediately after the budget hearing.

The following budget will be reviewed:

Estimated Cash on Hand — July 1, 2026 $51,416.14

Estimated Emergency Reserve — July 1, 2026 $135,263.23

Projected Revenue:

Anticipated Cash and Revenue

(State Grants, Unanticipated Revenue, Sales Tax) $258,973.50

Mill Levy Requested $140,000.00

Total Projected Revenue (sum of cash on hand, anticipated revenue, mill levy) $450,389.64

Projected Expenditures:

Administrative Budget (Coordinator, Office supplies, Postage, Travel, Training) $67,587.16

Operations Budget (Education, Forestry, Wildlife, Water Quality, etc.)* $333,752.48

Indirect Costs Budget (Insurance, Payroll taxes, Worker’s comp.) $49,050.00

Total Projected Expenditures: $450,389.64

*This includes carry over funds for committed projects and grants
