Wedding: VANDECAR – COOK

Dominique Alice Vandecar and Timothy William Cook were united in marriage on May 25, 2025, at The Barn at Aspen Acres in Spearfish, South Dakota. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Mark Schutz of Hope Lutheran.

The bride is the daughter of Shawn and Mary Vandecar of Belen, New Mexico. She gardens, farms chickens, and raises their daughter, Mila, who attends Newcastle Elementary School. The couple met while out dancing at a country dance hall in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

The groom is the son of William and Carolyn Cook of Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He is employed as an engineering officer in the United States Merchant Marine. 

The couple was attended by maid of honor Angelique Vandecar, sister of the bride, and best man, Captain Glenn Koshak, colleague and childhood friend of the groom. The bridal party included Dominique Romero, Andrea Torres, Andrea Gonzales, Autum Carrillo, Cynthia Vandecar, and Dustie Garrett, with groomsmen Shawn Ray Vandecar, Paul Cook, Aaron Cook, Andrew Cook, Elliot Bishop, and Jon Steigerwaldt.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Ireland, and will reside in Newcastle, Wyoming.
