As Believers we should frequently stop and examine our lives and ask: "Where am I in my walk with God?" It's a question that transcends mere curiosity; it delves into the depths of our faith, prompting introspection and evaluation. As we find our way through the complex of our spiritual walk, Scripture serves as a guiding light, illuminating the path we walk and offering wisdom to assess our relationship with God.

When you first believed, you began a journey of commitment and faith, setting the groundwork for a lifelong walk with God. Within this relationship, trust and commitment become essential responsibilities. Proverbs 3:5-6  implores us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." This foundational verse underscores the essence of beginning our walk with God—through unwavering trust and wholehearted commitment. As we surrender our understanding and acknowledge God's sovereignty in every aspect of our lives, we pave the way for a flourishing relationship with Him.

Living a life of obedience and surrender is no small feat; however, leaning on God's Word makes this journey more manageable. 1 Peter 1:14 declares, "As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance." In our walk of faith, obedience to God's Word is of upmost importance. It serves as our compass, guiding us through the twists and turns of life's journey. Proverbs 23:26 says, "Give me your heart, my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways." Surrendering our will to God's divine plan not only illuminates our path but also aligns our footsteps with His purpose for our lives. As we walk in obedience, we draw closer to God, experiencing the fullness of His blessings and grace along the way.

In the journey of every believer, challenges are inevitable, but perseverance and trust transform the path into one of greater ease. James 1:2-4 offers a perspective on navigating trials in our spiritual journey: "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Yes, challenges are inevitable in our walk with God, but they serve as opportunities for growth and refinement. Through perseverance and unwavering trust in God's faithfulness, we emerge stronger in our faith, matured by the trials we overcome.

Looking back on how far you've come, checking yourself and making things better is certainly a good idea. 2 Corinthians 13:5 exhorts us to "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?" Periodically examining our spiritual state is essential in our journey with God. It prompts us to assess our alignment with His Word, identify areas for growth, and seek renewal through repentance and spiritual discipline. As we strive for continuous growth and transformation, we deepen our intimacy with God and experience His transforming power in our lives.

As you journey with God, the question 'Where am I in my walk with God?' acts as a guiding light, prompting self-reflection and evaluation.". Through Scripture, we glean insights into the foundational principles of our faith, the importance of obedience and surrender, the significance of perseverance amidst challenges, and the necessity of self-examination and renewal. As we journey with God, may we walk in faith, guided by His Word, and empowered by His Spirit, knowing that He is faithful to lead us every step of the way.
