Upton Fun Days scheduled

Each year the city of Upton celebrates summer with Upton Fun Days, scheduled this year for this weekend from Friday to Sunday.
The annual festival kicks off with karaoke on Friday evening, and a bevy of activities slated for Saturday for people of all ages to enjoy.
The air show and parade with take place on Saturday, along with a kids’ rodeo and many other games and competitions. Activities to keep in mind are free outdoor archery and yard games at Goose Landing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids can cool off with free swimming at the Upton Pool from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday as well.
There will be a free barbecue and games at Upton City Park starting at 5 p.m., and be sure to look for teen Jelly Ball at 7 p.m.
The event will also feature concessions from various restaurants in the area all day Saturday. In the evening, finish the day by listening to Bonamo playing live music at the Irontown Tavern from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Sunday, Fun Days comes to end with the Joe Haynes Memorial Golf Tournament at the Upton Golf Course.
