FARGO, North Dakota (7/17/24) – The University of Wyoming wrestling team had plenty of representation at the 2024 U.S. Junior Nationals. Three incoming Cowboys showed well in the Men’s Freestyle competition inside the Fargodome.

Tyson Charmoli (144) led the way with an All-American performance that consisted of an 8-1 record. He placed third and sprung a trio of upsets – including toppling the No. 1 seed in the third-place match – which helped him easily outperform his No. 9 seed.

John Alden (138) narrowly missed All-American status. He also outperformed his No. 21 seed, going 6-2, which was highlighted by an upset of the No. 4 seed.

Tucker Bowen (126) logged an upset, as well. He went 4-2 and one of those wins occurred against the No. 6 seed.

The aforementioned performances gave Wyoming five All-Americans over the summer. Stockton O’Brien, Josh Kyle and Brett McIntosh also earned recognition for their finishes at U23 Nationals.
