Trio of Cowgirls Receive CSC Academic All-District Team Honor

Paige Lauterwasser, Kayla Mazzocca and Kasia Partyka named

GREENWOOD, Ind. (Dec. 17, 2024) – A trio of Cowgirl volleyball student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators’ (CSC) Academic All-District Volleyball Team. Announced Tuesday by the organization. Paige Lauterwasser, Kayla Mazzocca and Kasia Partyka all received the accolade. It is the second consecutive honor for Partyka.

In order to receive academic all-district recognition, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA and appear in 90-percent of her team’s matches. In addition to their all-academic honors, Lauterwasser and Partyka were both All-Mountain West Team honorees in 2024. Lauterwasser was in the top ten in the league in kills (3.31) and points (3.65) per set this season. Partyka, meanwhile, was third in the MW averaging 9.80 assists per set. Partyka closes her career fourth on the all-time career assists list at UW with 3,678.

Mazzocca, who like Lauterwasser and Partyka, also appeared in all 122 sets this season for the Cowgirls, was fifth in the Mountain West averaging 1.14 blocks per set. Mazzocca hit .292 this season and was fourth on the squad with 214 kills. Her 319.5 points in 2024 were third on the Cowgirls.
