Trio of Cowboys Represent Wyoming at All-Star Games

The trio played in College Gridiron Showcase and Trillion Tropical Bowl 

LARAMIE, Wyo.  (Jan. 14, 2025) – A trio of Cowboys are representing the Brown and Gold at a pair of collegiate all-star games this month. Defensive tackle Jordan Bertagnole and safety Isaac White played in the College Gridiron Showcase on January 12 and Nofoafia Tulafono is set to play in the Trillion Tropical Gridiron Showcase on January 19.

Bertagnole, native of Casper played in the Gridiron College Showcase on Sunday, January 11 in Fort Worth, Texas. He played in 54 career games for the Cowboys and recorded 205 tackles. He also recorded 25 tackles for loss to rank in the top-10 in school history. Bertagnole also finished his career with 11 sacks. He forced three fumbles in his career and recovered two at UW.  This past season, Bertagnole recorded 25 tackles. He recorded a career-high 60 stops in 2023. He added 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks that season. He was named Second Team All-Mountain West in 2023. Phil Steele named him First Team All-MW in 2023 and Second Team in 2022.

Tulafono, a native of Victorville, Calif. will play in the event in Daytona Beach, Fla. on January 19. He appeared in 50 games for the Cowboys in his career and started 38-straight since 2022. He earned All-Conference honors during his career by Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus and was a nominee for the Polynesian Player of the Year last season. This past season, Honorable Mention All-MW honors for the Cowboys. He started all 12 games for the Cowboys. He recorded over 350 pas block snaps allowing only one sack. Had well over 20 pancake blocks for the season. Pro Football Focus gave him an 82.7 pass block grade, which is No. 25 in the nation and second in the MW.

White, a native of Pottstown, Pa. joined Bertagnole at the Gridiron College Showcase. White appeared in 49 career games for the Brown and Gold. He finished his outstanding career with 219 career tackles. He recorded 144 solo stops and 75 assisted tackles. He also finished his career with 10 tackles for loss and two interceptions. Whit recorded 57 tackles in nine games this past season with 38 solo tackles. He recorded 61 tackles in 2023 and 66 in 2022. He recorded a career-high 10 tackles against BYU on Sept. 14, 2024. He also recorded interceptions against Utah State in 2021 and against Toledo in the 2023 Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl.
