Track & Field and Cross Country Announce 2025 Signing Class
LARAMIE, Wyo. (November 19, 2024) – The University of Wyoming track and field and cross country programs announced the signing of six incoming freshmen for the 2025 class. The signees include two sprinters, one thrower and three cross country/distance runners.
Ryan Elsen – Sprinter – Brighton, Colo.
Elsen joins Wyoming after running track and playing basketball at Brighton High School. In March, he finished first in his heat of the 60-meter with a time of 7.04 at the New Balance Nationals Indoors.
As a five-time national qualifier, Elsen posted personal bests of 6.97 in the 60-meter, 10.57 in the 100-meter and 22.02 in the 200-meter.
Jackson Aydelott – Sprinter – Vernon, Texas
All the way from Vernon High School in Vernon, Texas, Aydelott signed with the Cowboys after competing in track and field and basketball. As a junior, Ayeldott was the UIL 3A state champion in the 400-meter with a time of 47.94 after finishing second the year before.
Aydelott has run a personal best time of 21.64 in the 200-meter and 47.45 in the 400-meter.
Jade West – Throws – Niwot, Colo.
West hails from Niwot, Colo., where she competes in track and field and volleyball for Niwot High School. She won the state 4A shot put championship the past two years, winning last season with a throw of 43-04 and won the discus title with a throw of 137-09.
West holds personal bests of 44-5.25 in the shot put and 137-09 in the discus, a mark she set to win the state title.
Madison Antonino – XC/Distance – Pinedale, Wyo.
As the only Wyoming native in this year’s class, Antonino doesn’t have to travel far to join the Cowgirls. Running for Jackson Hole High School, Antonino is a back-to-back 4A cross country champion and the 2023-24 Gatorade Wyoming Girls Cross Country Player of the Year.
The top Wyoming finisher in the Nike Northwest Regional last season, Antonino boasts a 17:43.1 personal best in the 5,000-meter.
Nadhia Campos – XC/Distance – Colorado Springs, Colo.
Campos signed with Wyoming from The Vanguard School after winning three straight Class 2A individual cross country state titles and holding the 2A championship record time. Campos was also the 2024 2A state champion in the 3,200-meter run.
Campos posted a 17:35.2 personal-best time in the 5,000-meter as a sophomore in high school.
Colin Olson – XC/Distance – Loveland, Colo.
Olson joins the Cowboys from Loveland High School after a fantastic senior season. He ran to first at the Sweetheart Invitational and the John Martin XC Invitational. Olson finished 11th at the Colorado 5A state championships with a 15:49.8.
Olson owns personal bests of 15:22 in the 5k, 9:29 in the 3,200-meter and 4:16 in the 1,600-meter races.
