Three Wyoming Cowboys Earn Academic All-District Honors

Laramie, Wyo. (Jan. 7, 2025) – Wyoming Cowboy Football student-athletes Justin Erb, Andrew Johnson and Will Pelissier have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District Football team for Division I as selected by College Sports Commuicators (CSC). The nation's top student-athletes are recognized for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have achieved an undergraduate 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) to qualify for Academic All-District honors. A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student. The cumulative grade-point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.
Football student-athletes must have competed in 90 percent of their institution's games during the current season or must have started in at least 66 percent of those games to qualify.
Erb, a native of Wakefield, Neb. has 3.67 grade-point average majoring in marketing. He appeared in 12 games playing tight end and was a key member of special teams recording eight tackles. He had six solo stops.
Johnson, a native of Cheyenne has a 3,56 grade-point average and is majoring in construction management. He appeared in 11 games and earned five starts at safety. He finished the season with a career-best 30 tackles.
Pelissier, a native of Big Horn has 3.89 grade-point average as he is working on his master’s in business administration. He appeared in all 12 games with 11 starts at wide receiver. He recorded 14 catches for 212 yards this season. He has been named to the Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation numerous times in his career.
Eligible nominees who receive Academic All-District® recognition may also advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
