The Gospels provide various accounts of people who responded to Jesus' message of salvation during His ministry. While we don’t always get explicit details about their "acceptance" as we might understand in modern terms, several people clearly recognized Jesus as the Messiah or responded to His call to follow Him. Here’s a list of some individuals and groups who, in various ways, accepted salvation during Christ's time:

1. The Disciples

  • Peter, Andrew, James, and John: These fishermen were among the first called by Jesus to follow Him (Matthew 4:18-22).
  • Matthew (Levi): A tax collector who left his profession to follow Jesus (Matthew 9:9-13).
  • Philip, Nathanael (Bartholomew), Thomas, and the other disciples: Though not all of their initial moments of following Jesus are detailed, they became Jesus' close followers.

2. Nicodemus

  • A Pharisee who came to Jesus at night to learn more about Him. Nicodemus later defended Jesus and helped with His burial (John 3:1-21, John 19:39-40).

3. The Woman at the Well (Samaritan Woman)

  • After meeting Jesus, she recognized Him as the Messiah and shared the news with her entire town, leading many to believe in Him (John 4:1-42).

4. Zacchaeus

  • A tax collector who joyfully received Jesus into his home and repented, offering restitution for his wrongdoings. Jesus declared that salvation had come to his house (Luke 19:1-10).

5. The Thief on the Cross

  • One of the criminals crucified next to Jesus acknowledged Him as Lord and asked to be remembered. Jesus told him, "Today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:39-43).

6. The Centurion at the Cross

  • After witnessing Jesus' death, the Roman centurion declared, "Truly this was the Son of God" (Matthew 27:54).

7. Mary Magdalene

  • Delivered from seven demons by Jesus (Luke 8:2), she became one of His most devoted followers, witnessing both His crucifixion and resurrection.

8. The Paralytic and His Friends

  • When Jesus healed a paralyzed man, He first forgave the man’s sins, indicating a deeper acceptance of salvation (Mark 2:1-12).

9. The Blind Man (Bartimaeus)

  • Bartimaeus called out to Jesus, was healed of his blindness, and followed Jesus (Mark 10:46-52).

10. The Woman with the Issue of Blood

  • She reached out in faith to touch Jesus’ garment, was healed, and was told by Jesus, “Your faith has made you well” (Luke 8:43-48).

11. The Gadarene Demoniac

  • Jesus cast out demons from this man, and afterward, he wanted to follow Jesus. Jesus instructed him to go home and share his testimony, which he did (Mark 5:1-20).

12. Many of the Crowds and Followers

  • Though individual names are not often given, the Gospels mention numerous instances of people who followed Jesus and believed in Him:
    • Many Samaritans after the testimony of the woman at the well (John 4:39-42).
    • Those healed by Jesus: People like the ten lepers (though only one returned to give thanks) acknowledged Him in various ways (Luke 17:11-19).
    • The crowds at Palm Sunday: Many acknowledged Him as the Messiah as they laid down palm branches and shouted "Hosanna!" (John 12:12-15).

This is not a comprehensive list of every instance of someone accepting Jesus, but it highlights many of the significant and personal encounters people had with Christ during His ministry.
