They Never Worry

Some people never question their salvationâbecause theyâre not saved. Real believers wrestle, but the lost walk in false peace. This post exposes the danger of pretending and the truth about assurance.
Thereâs a difference between questioning and pretending. Real believers, even with the assurance of salvation, still feel the weight of it sometimes. Not because they doubt Godâbut because they know how easily hearts can drift. That quiet nudge, that holy discomfort, isnât fearâitâs grace. Itâs God keeping us awake. But the truly lost? They donât feel that at all. They walk with confidence they shouldnât have, convinced theyâre fine because they look the part. And thatâs where this gets dangerous.
The lost never worry about whether theyâre saved. The idea of assurance never even crosses their mind. Theyâre not burdened with conviction. They donât stay up at night questioning their standing before God. Their conscience doesnât ache. Their heart doesnât stir. They walk around with false confidence and religious habits, convinced that being good enough or knowing the right words will somehow be enough. But it wonât.
Theyâre sleepwalking toward hell. Quietly. Comfortably. Confidently. Bible in hand. Worship songs on their lips, hands in the air. Hearts untouched.
But the saved? They wrestle. They fall, but they feel it. They stray, but they hear the Shepherdâs voice calling them home. They donât stay in sin because they canât. The Spirit inside them wonât let them rest there.
Thatâs the difference. Thatâs the evidence. A child of God can wander, but he wonât stay lost. Because the Shepherd always comes for His own.
But if youâve been living in rebellion and it doesnât bother you⊠If sin has become normal and you feel no tug, no grief, no conviction⊠Thatâs not salvation. Thatâs spiritual death.
And if youâre still breathing, that should terrify you.
You can sing every worship song. You can carry a Bible. You can sit in church your whole life. But if thereâs no repentance, no change, no fireâthen youâve got religion, not redemption.
God isnât interested in your performance. He wants your heart. And if He doesnât have itâcompletelyâthen you are still lost.
There is no middle ground. There is no âkinda saved.â Youâre either redeemed, or youâre not.
So hereâs the real question: When was the last time you were convicted? When was the last time you couldnât sleep because you knew something had to change?
If you canât remember⊠friend, youâd better hit your knees.
This isnât a warning to scare you. This is a warning to save you. Because the lost donât worry.
But the saved? They canât help but tremble at the thought of being far from Him.
âExamine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in youâunless indeed you fail the test?â â 2 Corinthians 13:5
