Thanks to our supporters
For this first edition of 2025, I wanted to thank all those who have read the Powell Tribune in 2024.
Thanks for not only reading, but supporting this publication. It enables us to have a solid staff who cover a variety of issues not just in Powell but around Park County and the region.
Thank you for writing us letters. When laying out the Opinion page for the final issue of 2024 we had more letters than we could even fit while still having one column, a cartoon and editorial. Don’t worry, if your letter isn’t in the next issue and I’ve said we’ll run it, it will be in as soon as space allows.
Thanks to those of you who called, emailed or stopped by with information, story ideas and more. While I enjoy phone and email exchanges with our readers, it’s always nice to put a face to a name.
And thanks to those who have shared critiques with us. While we like to think we put out a pretty darn good paper, we’re always looking for ways to make it better.
Thanks to the businesses who still believe in newspaper advertising in a world where there are so many different options. Advertising dollars help keep this news gathering team fully staffed to better serve you.
Thanks to all of those institutions, businesses, groups and organizations who, over the last year, have provided us with events to cover, interesting people to talk with and who have enabled us to cover them. Especially with governmental institutions it should be a given to let journalists have unfettered access, but in many areas that’s not the case.
Locally, we’ve generally been able to have a very good working relationship with these entities, which makes it easier for us to do our work.
So thanks to all of you who value the Powell Tribune.
We aim to continue to prove our commitment to this community and this region in 2025.
