TERRY L. MILLS: Oct. 25, 1956–April 19, 2026

Terry L. Mills, age 69, passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, April 19, 2026, after a yearlong battle with cancer, surrounded by his wife, kids, and grandson. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Terry was born on Oct., 25, 1956, to Vernard and Juanita Mills in Newcastle, Wyoming. He graduated from Newcastle High School in 1976, then attended Casper College where he became a diesel mechanic.

Terry started his diesel career working for his uncle, Ronnie Mills, worked for the refinery in Newcastle, Anadarko, and retired in 2021 working for Bob Wright after 50-plus years in the diesel business. He retired to enjoy time with his wife, kids, and grandkids, who were the center of his life.

Terry enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved watching his grandkids doing sports and activities like archery, dirt biking, volleyball, baseball, and snowmobiling. It did not
matter, as long as he could spend time
 with his grandkids.

Terry loved watching NASCAR on TV. He was someone you could call if you ever had a question regarding something mechanical.

In 1977, he married his high school sweetheart, Deb, and they were together for 49 years.

In 1978 they had their daughter, Jennifer Dawn, and in 1980 their son, Ryan Lee, who completed the family of four.

In the summer of 1978, he joined the Newcastle Fire Department and was on the drill team for 20 years traveling all over the state of Wyoming for the Fireman Convention every summer.

Terry is survived by his wife, Deb; daughter, Jennifer Ullery (Carl Deviney) of Glenrock, Wyoming; son, Ryan (Brandi) Mills of Daniel, Wyoming; grandchildren, Braeden Ullery (Aubrey Boynton) of Douglas, Wyoming, Tyce Mills, Shaye Mills, and Rory Mills of Daniel, Wyoming; brothers, Mike (Janell) Mills, Richard Mills, and Clayton Mills; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Terry is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, sisters Pamela Steveson and Debra Mills, and mother-in-law Janice Dummer.

Memorial service will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Newcastle on Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m., with reception to follow. Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Meridian Mortuary, 111 South Railroad Ave., Newcastle, WY 82701.
