Taylor Cureton Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (2/11/25) – The Mountain West announced on Tuesday that swimmer Taylor Cureton has been named Freshman of the Week for her performances at the DU First Chance meet this past weekend.
Cureton placed top three in five out of her six events. She had two first place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly and as a member of the 200-yard medley relay team with respective times of 55.60 and 1:45.11. Cureton took second in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming a 51.75. She also had a pair of third place performances in the 50-yard freestyle, going 23.79, and as a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay, logging a time of 1:35.76.
Next up for Cureton and the Cowgirl swim and dive team is the Mountain West Conference Championships next week in Houston, Texas.
