Take 10 to be counted

Residents of Wyoming received their census forms for the 2020 U.S. Census in the mail by April 1. The Census Bureau estimates that it will “take an average of 10 minutes to complete your census and those details determine the future of Wyoming for the next 10 years.”
The quickest way to fill out your census report, according to Jennifer Hilmann in a U.S. Census Bureau press release, is to fill out the paperwork online at my2020census.gov. More than a quarter of the state has already responded.
“You can complete the online form in just minutes by using your Census ID,” the release says. “If you don’t have a Census ID, you can still participate online by answering a couple extra questions to verify your address and identity.”
Another option for completing the census is by calling 1-844-330-2020. There, you can ask questions about the census or complete the census; however, the release said to be aware that there may be long delays using the national dial-in number.
“You can also still complete the paper questionnaire, but due to the operational pauses those may take additional time to reach you – online or by phone will allow you to complete it today!” the release says.
The pause will be in affect through at least mid-April.
Self-distancing is one of the most important things you can do, the release says, but so is completing your census, and it can be done from the comfort and privacy of your home.
“Census data will determine how hospitals and heath care in towns and cities across the state will get funded for the next decade,” the release says.
