Swim Finishes Day One of DU First Chance Meet

DENVER, Colo. (2/7/25) – A group of Wyoming swimmers competed at the DU First Chance Meet on Friday afternoon.

The Cowgirls took first in the 200-yard medley relay, with the team of Taylor Cureton, Emilie Coleman, Emily Burchett and Ava Salverson logging a time of 1:45.11.

Makenna Reiner came in fourth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:34.14. Savannah McVey also took fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke, going 1:05.09.

Cureton and Burchett went three and four in the 50-yard freestyle, swimming a 23.79 and 23.85 respectively.

Day two of the DU First Chance Meet begins tomorrow at 10 a.m.
