SUNDANCE (WNE) — America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the Longhorn Saloon & Grill on August 29.

Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Charity and Josh McLaughlin about the restaurant’s special place in the community.

The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.

America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Friday, August 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on its Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at americasbestrestaurants.com/rests/wyoming/longhornsaloon-and-grill.

Local residents and high school sweethearts, the McLaughlins have three young adult sons, the oldest of which discontinued his college education in order to come back to the area and help run the restaurant after Josh was diagnosed in summer 2022 with a rare stage 4 brain cancer.

The original name of the restaurant was Etta’s Place, named for Etta Place, a companion of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

It was rebranded to Longhorn Saloon & Grill in 2013.

Restaurants featured on the ABR Roadshow are selected based on their customer reviews, menu items, social media presence and level of involvement with their community. They are found through customer nominations, internal vetting or by a restaurant applying to be featured at www.americasbestrestaurants.com.
