STANLEY W. HIXSON:

June 27, 1944–Jan. 30, 2025

Stanley W. Hixson,  born June 27, 1944, in Scotia, California, to Lorin and Florence Hixson, died Jan. 30, 2025, at Weston County Manor at age 80.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael, and survived by his wife, Irene, sons, Zeek (Brenda) Hopkins of Battleground, Washington, David (Lacinda) Hopkins of Newcastle, Wyoming, and Daniel (Kira) Hopkins of Milton Freewater, Oregon; sister, Ann (Roger) Kruger of Milton Freewater; and 11 grandchildren.

Stan and family lived in Oregon and northern California where he did construction and appliance repair for a number of years.

In 1998, the family moved to the Hermosa, South Dakota area where Stan spent time in construction and major appliance repair, and later maintenance in Keystone, South Dakota.

Later, the family moved to Custer Highlands where he did major appliance repair in the Newcastle area.
