All candidates on the ballot were incumbents, and all retained their seats in Tuesday’s election for the Weston County hospital and museum districts, according to official results.

In the Weston County Hospital District race for four-year terms, Dottie Sylte led the field with 155 votes, followed by Ann Slagle with 132. Karen Drost received 104 votes. All retained their seats.

For the hospital district’s two-year term, Benjamin S. Roberts had 145 votes, while James Burrough had 144. Roberts’ slight margin was driven by a stronger showing in Upton, while Burrough led in Newcastle and Osage. However, both candidates retained their seats.

In the Weston County Museum District race for four-year terms, Shirley Harder received the highest vote total with 165, followed closely by Linda Nessul with 157.

According to Museum Director Tasia Forrester, Harriet Birkley withdrew from the race. Taking her seat is Kolby Pisciotti, who received 10 write-in votes and accepted the seat.

Across both districts, voting totals reflected participation from Newcastle, Osage and Upton precincts.

All results remain unofficial until canvassed.
