Sow Your Seeds

Life is full of uncertainties, but Ecclesiastes 11:6 reminds us to keep working, stay persistent, and trust God with the results. Keep sowing seeds of faith and diligence, knowing He brings the harvest in His perfect timing.
We all face uncertainties in life. It’s part of being human. A verse from Ecclesiastes 11:6 gives us some valuable advice on how to deal with these uncertain times. It says, Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good. It’s simple but wise, reminding us to work hard, stay persistent, and trust that things will work out.
Think about what sowing means. It’s about taking action. When we sow seeds, we put effort into our work, our relationships, and our own growth. The verse mentions morning and evening because it hints at consistency. We can’t just sit back and wait. We need to keep trying and working hard, no matter the time of day.
Now, life is unpredictable, right? Despite all our plans and hard work, we can’t control everything. But that's okay. The uncertainty shouldn't make us sad. Instead, it’s a chance for us to have faith. We should believe that with our hard work and persistence, we will see results eventually, even if we can’t see them right away.
In today’s world, we often look for quick results. We want things to happen fast. Ecclesiastes 11:6 reminds us that sometimes, we need to be patient. It encourages us to keep working hard and putting in our efforts, instead of giving in to laziness. Real success takes time. It doesn’t always happen overnight, but it comes to those who keep at it.
This verse also gives us an important lesson about faith. Just like a farmer trusts that his seeds will grow, we should trust that our efforts will be rewarded in time. When we work hard and line our actions with what is good, we can be confident that things will work out. It’s about letting go of the need to control everything while focusing on doing our best.
And as we wrap this up, let’s think about another verse from 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, where Paul says, I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. This shows us that our hard work contributes to a bigger picture. Even if we feel uncertain or overwhelmed, our efforts matter.
As we face challenges in life, let’s remember that every effort we make is like a seed planted in faith. We may not always see the results right away, but God is at work, bringing growth in His perfect timing. Our job is to stay faithful—working diligently, trusting Him, and refusing to give up. So keep sowing, keep believing, and leave the outcome in God’s hands. In the end, He is the one who brings the harvest.
