Socialism can’t afford to pay its tabs

Dear Editor,
Jerry baird continually rails against capitalism. He should know that without capitalism, there is no socialism because because under socialism, there is no one to generate money.
Take away capitalism and you are left with  communism (China), oligarchy (Russia), anarchy, monarchy, dictatorship or some other form a authoratarianism form of government which does not favor social activities.
Socialism on its own does hot have the means to generate its cost. High taxes only cause the high tax payers to quit working instead of working for the government.
Capitalism originated in the Netherlands during the 16th and 17th centuries and made its way to England where it grew and then migrated to the new United States where it dominated the new country.
The combination of the English speaking countries became so powerful that it overtook the rest of the worlds economy.
