In operation for almost a year now, Seconds at 212 W. Main St. is offering a unique Valentine’s Day event. By now, many people entering the store or walking by have seen a huge stuffed toy in the window. It is a cute and cuddly sloth, a perfect way to express love to your favorite valentine on your list.
Seconds’ owner Casey Smith will give this stuffed goodie away to one lucky person in a drawing. No purchase is necessary to enter. All you have to do is write your name and phone number on a ticket. While there are many unique finds and collectibles to be found in Smith’s unique shop, none are as enticing and entrancing for the child in everyone as this toy.
“I’m hoping that parents will bring their children in during the drawing,” Smith said.
Although being present during the drawing is not necessary, a News Letter staff photographer will be available during the drawing to take a picture of the lucky person if that person is in attendance.
The drawing is on Thursday, Feb. 13 (the day before Valentine’s Day) at 4 p.m. Smith wanted to make sure that the event happened after school is out for the day so that children could be present. To enter your child in the drawing, or if you prefer to try your luck at getting this fantastic prize for your own loved one, drop into Seconds to fill out a ticket and place it in the drawing. Seconds’ hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entry will be available up to the time of the drawing.
