Roy Alford Weeg passed away Feb. 25, 2021, at Weston County Manor in Newcastle, Wyo.
He was born Dec. 1, 1933, to Carl R. and Ann (Holden) Weeg on a farm outside of Bryant, S.D.
In 1941 the family moved to Minnesota, living there for eight years then moving to Centerville, S.D. Roy attended school in Centerville, living just outside of town on the family farm with his parents, a brother Clarence, and a sister Beulah.
He met and dated Beverly Ann Lounsbery from Beresford, S.D. On Nov. 18, 1953, they were united in marriage. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Newcastle. Roy worked for Doc Fox until he opened his own body shop and salvage yard.
The couple raised three sons, Roland, Gayle and Brian.
Roy retired from the body shop and salvage yard in 2004. Roy and Beverly then moved to Osage, Wyo.
On March 7, 2013, Roy lost his
wife Beverly.
Due to poor health issues Roy moved to the assisted health care facility Mondell Heights and later moved to Weston County Manor.
Roy is survived by his sons Roland, Gayle (Roxy), and Brian (Frances); four grandsons, Bruce, Lonnie, Jesse, and Colton; six great-grandsons, Isiah, Tyler, Matthew, Adam, Aden, and Tucker; and three great-granddaughters, Keyana, Nicole, and Amariana.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; brother, Clarence; sister, Beulah; and
granddaughter, Emily.
