Funeral services for Ron Hando will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Meridian Mortuary in Newcastle, Wyo., with Monte Hillyard officiating; interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m on Friday, Feb. 26, at
Meridian Mortuary. 
Ronald Hando, age 74, passed away Feb. 7, 2021, in Northglenn, Colo. 
He was born July 6, 1946, in Sundance, Wyo., to Joseph Hando and Eva Alberta Fall. 
He started school in Newcastle and was very active in Cub Scouts. His family traveled to western Wyoming where he then attended school in La Barge, Wyo., and graduated high school from Big Piney. He attended college at University of Wyoming where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Geology.
Ron married Marg Schlup on Jan. 31, 1969, in Rapid City, S.D. They moved to Casper, Wyo., to start his job at an oil company. A year later they moved to Big Piney, where he worked for Belco Petroleum. Three years later they moved to Denver, Colo., where he worked for numerous oil companies and started his family. He eventually was able to own two oil companies which was his life’s work and
greatest achievement.
He became very involved with his kid’s soccer activities and teams. Soccer became a huge part of his life, with five kids playing he was either coaching or working Bingos to help raise funds for tournaments. 
He is survived by his wife, Marg Hando of Colorado, and by his children and grandchildren: Brandon (son) Kim and Phoenix (grandson) Hando; Tyler Hando (son), Holly Gregory, Brayden (grandson), Kylie (granddaughter) and Brock (grandson) Barefoot; Amber Graves (daughter), Brent, Brynn (granddaughter), Evan (grandson), Tatum (grandson) Graves; Heather Hando (daughter), Mark Garcia, Jaidyn (granddaughter) and Kamryn (granddaughter) Garcia; Andree Hando (daughter) and Brad Humphries (grandson); Dillon Hando. He is also survived by his mother, Eva Alberta Hando; and siblings, Linda Templeman, Richard Hando, and Peggy Laurence. 
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hando; and his son, Jason Hando.
