The Granby, Colo., native looks to become just the fourth Wyoming Cowboy or Cowgirl to win a NCAA track and field national championship and the second in the weight throw. To reach this summit, Reynolds must compete against the reigning champion, Kenneth Ikeji (Harvard), and seven returning All-Americans from last year’s competition, including five First-Teamers.
The Virginia Beach Sports Center, a 285,000-square foot facility that seats up to 5,000, will make its NCAA D-I championship debut on Friday. Previously, the venue hosted the 2023 NCAA D-II and 2024 D-III Track and Field Championships. In 2023, Reynolds, then at D-II Chadron State, competed in the weight throw and placed fifth at the sports complex.
